Did You Know?
The Humane Society of Vilas County (HSVC) tries to include a Spay or Neuter with every Dog, Puppy, Cat, and Kitten!
The HSVC also includes current vaccinations on every adopted dog, cat, puppy, and kitten, including rabies vaccine as long as age allows!
That the animals are usually fixed by the time they get adopted (or as soon as they can be, if their age allows) by a wonderful, licensed veterinarian. There are many vets in the area who work with us, if you prefer to use yours. We try to place animals in homes that suit the entire family and don't PUSH any animal on anyone that it may not suit.
We are not-for-profit and supported by generous people like you with donations and our general fees for services.
We have a membership program and volunteer program that can be inquired about at the Shelter.
We work with rescue groups and other shelters to try to give every animal an equal chance at a forever home.
We only have a staff of 3 people that works very hard, with a volunteer Board of Directors to oversee our operations, running costs, and fundraising programs.
(Current Updated) Fees for adopting:
Puppies- $125.00 includes spay/neuter, yearly vaccines, rabies vaccine, deworming, Health Check
